The Iraq and Syria based Islamic terrorist group ISIS led by the so-called Caliphate of Al Baghdadi, an American sponsored terrorist, has called for a ban on Eid-Ul-Fitr celebrations after the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, citing puritan reasons as the doctrine of Islam does not mention the celebration and the Islamic State considers it as a symbol of Arab pagan culture embedded in Islamic practices.

The clerics of the Saudi sponsored Wahabi, Salafi and other puritan and fundamentalist trends have maintained silence across the world on this declaration of the Islamic State and there had been no outcry amongst the Islamic scholars regarding this act, which they do not consider as an attack on 'religious sentiments', the banner which they raise in case of any liberal criticism of the obsolete practices of the religion.

The question of Eid Ul-Fitr has two broad aspects, first of all from a view point of the doctrine of Islam, that is the Quran, there is no mention of Eid, which literally means 'feast' except for the 'feast' of Jesus, called Isa in Arabic. The concept of the feast can only be found in the 'Hadith' or the narration of different tales of the life time of Prophet Muhammad, and has turned into a ritual among Muslims of all sects worldwide and big corporations around the world mints huge amount of money by selling commodities to the Muslim people around the world. Secondly, Eid Ul-Fitr, like many other Arab rituals are embedded in the religion of Islam and have turned itself as a burden on the common people, who find it hard to meet their ends at the present period of skyrocketing inflation, the people of all nation are bound by social obligations to observe the ritual, and this is common among people of all religions.

However, it must be the right of an individual to celebrate or abstain from participating in any particular ritual and no one has the right to oblige someone to do or not do something in the religious domain. As interference in someone's belief or faith with an intention to coerce them to do or not do something goes against the fabric of democracy, which these so called protectors of Islam are adamant to destroy to impose their version of crooked and manipulated Islam to rule over millions of faithful poor Muslims.

The ISIS move to ban the celebration of Eid and the suspicious silence of the clerics of the Sunni Wahabi and Salafi brands points to the naked truth of the US-Saudi funding and support to the growth of ISIS, which works as a pawn of American big monopoly capital and their Saudi royal lackeys to on one hand destabilise and oust the anti American governments in Middle East including the Syrian government, terrorise the world and help the American campaign of Islamophobia to grow by stereotyping Muslims as a sect that believes in terrorism.

The silence and lack of any open denunciation of the ban on Eid celebration by the clerics and scholars would not have existed if the call for ban would have aroused from modern Muslims, critiques of Islam or from atheist or rational forces. The clerics would have issued a 'Fatwa' and have placed a price on the heads of such people in that case. But with ISIS the clerics and scholars will not speak a word as the terror group and their master caliph Al Baghdadi are puppets of the same regime that funds their own activity across the world, the Saudi monarchy and its American masters.

This manifests the sheer hypocrisy of the Islamic scholars and clerics who are puppets of the Saudi monarchy and the hollowness of their morality. This double standard of using the wild card of 'religious sentiments' being hurt must be shown to the Muslim people to reveal the true character of these caretakers of the religion which abolished monkhood for the first time and also ended the 'intercedes' by clerics or priests.

The Muslims are being crushed under the juggernauts of US sponsored Islamophobia and Saudi sponsored terrorism and puritanism, without their knowledge. The recent acts of the ISIS and their likes are used by the corporate owned media to stereotype Muslims, target them and label them as terrorists and the clerical leaders just act to fuel that fire. It is very imperative that the common Muslims are awakened from their slumber and made aware of the broad conspiracy in which their own brethren is involved to defame and victimise them. This can only be done by politically awakening them, improving their political awareness and equipping them with the knowledge and information which are hidden from them by the cunning breed of Islamic clerics.

The coercive diktat of the ISIS and their likes must be objected, every Muslim has their own right to decide whether they will or not celebrate Eid or other festivals. The Muslims must clearly tell the clerics, the ISIS, the Saudi monarchs, and all other custodian of Islam, that they are not going to act as a pawn in their bigger political game, and they refuse to act as a part of the Muslim deen, the universal brotherhood, whose objective is to defend, consolidate and expand Saudi influence. They must declare openly that the Muslims are for the Deen of the poor, the oppressed, the pious one who aims to spread universal love, peace and brotherhood.

That is the only way, the path of rebellion against religious diktats, to claim their independence from the clutches of the religious hyenas and to demolish the edifices of stereotype Islam that is created by the American sponsored big corporate media.
